Copper+ Effects & Tests

The Copper+ cleaning cloths remove dirt, bacteria and viruses with water only.

100%

Water

Scientific laboratory tests prove that the Copper+ cloth removes dirt and up to 99.9% of bacteria and viruses from surfaces simply by wiping with water. Clean and hygienic surfaces are left behind in one wipe.

99.9%

  Bacteria &Virus

Over 99.9% of the absorbed bacteria and viruses can be retained in the cloth and inactivated within a very short time. Compared to conventional cleaning cloths, the risk of infection, the spread of germs and unpleasant odours is significantly reduced.

  Use of Disinfectant

When using disinfection chemistry, the surfaces must be cleaned of dirt before disinfection. After disinfection, the disinfection chemistry remains on the surfaces, which must then be removed again in a third step.

Thanks to the cleaning power of the ultra-fine microfibres and the refinement with tiny copper pigments, the Copper+ cloths clean with just water with a simple wipe. Simple, cost-effective and environmentally conscious hygiene with one wipe.

Scientifically confirmed & laboratory tested!

Safety through high efficiency. The Copper+ cloths remove dirt, bacteria and viruses from surfaces with a simple damp wipe. This has been laboratory-tested and scientifically confirmed several times.

Copper+ in comparison with other cleaning cloths

Cleaning cloth without microfibre

  • Residual dirt remains on the surfaces.
  • Bacteria and viruses remain on the surfaces.
  • Disinfection in an additional work step with disinfection chemistry necessary.

Commercially available microfibre cloth

  • Removes dirt, bacteria and viruses from surfaces.
  • Absorption of dirt, bacteria and viruses strongly depends on the quality of the microfibre cloth.
  • Absorbed viruses and bacteria remain in the cloth.
  • This means that germs are carried away and there is a risk of infection.

Copper+ microfibre cleaning cloth

  • Removes dirt, bacteria and viruses from surfaces.
  • Fineness and structure guarantee a very high absorption of dirt, bacteria and viruses.
  • Absorbed bacteria and viruses are inactivated in the cloth.
  • Danger of infection, spread of germs and odour formation are significantly reduced.

Tests by independent test laboratories on the Copper+ cleaning cloths

The antimicrobial effect of the Copper+ cleaning cloths has been confirmed among others by:

  • the Medical University of Innsbruck,
  • Weber & Leucht GmbH Application Lab,
  • Dr. Brünke MTC,
  • Eurovir Hygiene-Labor GmbH,
  • OFI Technologie & Innovation GmbH and
  • the Hohenstein Laboratories GmbH & Co. KG.

The antimicrobial effect of the Copper+ cleaning cloths was confirmed for the following viruses and bacteria:

  • Bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae.
  • Multi-resistant bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus MRSA
  • Enveloped viruses: TGEV corona virus
  • Non-enveloped viruses / bacteriophages: Escherichia phage MS2

The Copper+ cloths are of course certified by

The Copper+ process was developed in a research collaboration between Rezi Microfaserprodukte GmbH and the University of Innsbruck (Research Institute of Textile Chemistry and Textile Physics) and patented by Rezi. The Copper+ process is a copper-based finishing process in which cleaning textiles are treated with tiny – non-scratching – copper pigments over the entire surface. Copper+ does not use disinfection chemistry or nanotechnology and works in an environmentally friendly way using only water.

When cleaned with a damp Copper+ cloth, dirt and, depending on the surface, up to 99.9% of viruses and bacteria are absorbed. Over 99.9% of the absorbed bacteria and viruses can be retained in the cloth and inactivated within a very short time.
